Shell Stitch Fingerless Gloves
Difficulty: Easy
Supplies:
I-5.5 mm crochet hook
Worsted weight yarn
Abbreviations:
CH-Chain
Sc- Single Crochet
HDC- Half Double Crochet
DC- Double Crochet
St- Stitch
Notes:
-Beginning Shell Stitch- Ch 3, DC 2 in same st
-Shell stitch- *DC 3 in same stitch, skip 2 stitches*; repeat
-Gauge is not important as long as the finished product fits your hand
Ch 24. Join to beginning chain.
Round 1: Ch 1. Hdc in same st and in each st around. Join. (24 hdc)
Rounds 2 & 3: Repeat round 1. (24 hdc)
Round 4: Beginning shell st in first st, skip 2 sts. Shell st around until there are only 2 sts left. Join to beginning ch 3. (8 shells)
Round 5: Ch 1. Hdc in same st in each st around. Join. (24 hdc)
Round 6: Ch 1. Sc in same st and in each st around. Join. (24 sc)
Round 7: Ch 1. Hdc in same st and in each st around. Join. (24 hdc)
Round 8: Beginning shell st in first st, skip 2 sts. Shell st around until there are only 2 sts left. Join to beginning ch 3. (8 shells)
Round 9: Ch 1. Hdc in same st and in each st around. Join. (24 hdc)
Round 10: Ch 1. Sc in same st and in each st around. Join. (24 sc)
Round 11: Ch 1. Hdc in same st and in each st around. Join. (24 hdc)
Round 12: Beginning shell st in first st, skip 2 sts. Shell st around until there are 8 sts left and join (ending 2 shells before row ends). This will be the thumb hole. (6 shells)
Round 13: Ch 1. Hdc in same st and in each st around. Join. (18 hdc)
Round 14: Ch 1. Sc in same st and in each st around. Join. (18 sc)
Round 15: Ch 1. Hdc in same st and in each st around. Join. (18 hdc). Fasten off and weave in ends.
